WHAT TO KNOW
- A translation slides, a rotation turns, and a reflection flips across a mirror line.
- Rigid moves preserve side lengths and angle measures.
- Faces are flat surfaces, edges join faces, and vertices are corner points on a solid.
WATCH OUT
A reflection is not the same as a rotation; reflected figures reverse orientation like mirror images.
TRY IT
Move the shape, then switch to solid view and compare a cube with a rectangular prism.
